Roundside

How to share your golf round with someone who does not have the app

Start a round in Roundside and send the share link. They follow along in any web browser, with no app to install and no account. The page shows the hole you are on, an estimated finish window, and when the last update arrived.

Share it

  • Pick the course, choose 9 or 18 holes and where you start, then start the round.
  • Tap Share link and send it by text or any messenger.
  • As you play, the link shows your current hole and estimated finish. On courses marked for automatic detection Roundside works out each hole itself. On manual courses you tap Next hole as you go, and Correct hole fixes a slip.
  • When you finish you confirm it in the app, or end the round early, and the page says so.

A web page, no app needed. On iPhone they can also follow from the lock screen. Illustrative round.

The link is a plain web page, so it works in any browser on any phone. On iPhone, followers who install Roundside can also follow from the lock screen. Anyone with the link can see the page until you stop sharing or it expires, no later than 12 hours after the round starts.

Estimate and privacy

The finish window is an estimate built from your pace so far. It can be early, and it moves as you speed up, pause or lose signal. The page always shows how old the last update is. It says when you may be finished playing, not when you will be home.

Anyone with the link can see your hole progress and estimated finish. Progress can reveal roughly where you are on the course. Your exact location point is hidden unless you turn on point sharing for that round; even then it is the latest point, never a route. See the privacy policy and how the estimate works for detail.
